Coastal Animal Hospital provides a comprehensive surgical menu, from routine surgeries, such as spays, neuters, mass removals, foreign body removal, gastrointestinal/urogenital, and dental cleanings, as well as advanced surgical techniques for orthopedics and soft tissue surgery. For advanced surgeries we utilize the services of a board-certified surgeon, Dr. James Clark.
Our anesthetic protocols are the gold standard for veterinary care. All anesthetic patients at Coastal Animal Hospital receive a pre-surgical doctor exam, pre anesthetic blood work to assess body systems, intravenous fluids, injectable, reversible and gas anesthesia, state-of-the art monitoring systems, including doppler blood pressure, ecg, body temperature monitoring and control and continuous pulse oximetry and pain management. Every patient, whether young and healthy or geriatric with complicating chronic diseases, receives a dedicated anesthetic nurse whose sole responsibility is monitoring them continuously from the time they are anesthetized to waking up in recovery.
Dentistry Services include ultrasonic scaling, polishing, polymer sealing, as well as extractions and oral soft tissue procedures, performed on our SurgiDen dental station.
You will experience the Coastal difference when you register with the receptionist the morning of your pet's procedure. You will be brought into an examination room to continue the admission to thoroughly go over the procedure and to address any concerns
