(252) 261-3960Help your pet heal with laser therapy. The laser is a sterile, pain-free, surgery-free, drug-free treatment. Laser therapy can be used as an addition to other treatment plans. Therapy lasers have been scientifically proven and successful in treating post-surgical pain and many acute and chronic conditions.
Acute Conditions
Chronic Conditions
Laser therapy is an FDA-cleared modality that reduces inflammation which results in pain reduction. It is safe, painless and fast. Treatments to deeper tissues are administered in 5-10 minutes per site. Laser therapy utilizes the body's own healing powers by stimulating cellular activity sending photons (packets of light energy) deep into the tissue without damaging it. These photons are absorbed within the mitochondria of the cells and induce a chemical change. The light energy then inspires the production of ATP in the cell. The ATP is the fuel, or energy, cells need for repair and rejuvenation, which increases protection of healthier cells and tissue.
During the treatment, your pet will feel a gentle and soothing warmth from the non-invasive hand piece. Many pets will relax and enjoy the warmth of the laser.
Each pet is different, but some owners will notice improvement within 3-5 treatments. The typical protocol is 3 treatments the first week, 2 the second week and 1 the third week. Then follow-up treatments are usually every 4-6 weeks or whenever the pet begins to show signs of being uncomfortable.
